Tough challenge for St. Thomas Aquinas
Broward County's lone defending champion, St. Thomas Aquinas, opens Saturday morning in a game that will be televised nationally.
The Raiders, who won the Class 5A title last year, travel to Cincinnati to play Elder at Paul Brown Stadium in the Kirk Herbstreit Challenge.
Elder (1-0) enters with a competitive advantage.
The team enjoyed nearly two weeks of extra practice and already has played a game -- a 38-19 victory over Middletown (Ohio).
