Promising newcomers: DB Vlad Rock (Jr.); DB Dare Ayoola (Jr.); DB Brian Johnson (Jr.); DB Ray Kirtow (Jr.); DB Brian Riegle (5-9, 165, Sr.); DB Lee Stewart (5-8, 165, Jr.); DB Dave Shepherd (Jr.).
Odds and ends: Raiders have won four straight season openers.
