STRENGTHS

Experience: The Rebels have several senior starters at the skill positions on offense in Dodd, Lattimore, Jones, Jazz King and Torian Richardson. Defensively, seniors Miller and Willis lead the way with strong support from Danzell Collins, Roland Johnson and Zach Miller.

Returning starters: Byrnes is returning 10 starters from last year’s state championship team.

Attitude: Byrnes coach Chris Miller has been pleased with the focus of his team during offseason workouts leading into fall practice.

WEAKNESSES

New faces on defense: The defensive front is solid, but the Rebels are a little inexperienced at linebacker and in the secondary after losing mainstays Daniel Cleveland and Florida State signee Justin Bright to graduation.

New faces on the offensive line: The Rebels lost most of last year’s line to graduation and will need several newcomers to step up and fill the void.
