The Raiders, who lost in the state finals in 1991, opened the season taking advantage of two Boyd Anderson first-quarter mistakes, turning both into touchdowns. Terry Smith carried the ball four times on offense, scoring three touchdowns.

The Raiders recorded their first shutout win of the year as both Wilkerson and Porter enjoyed their biggest nights. Porter went 63 yards for a touchdown on the second play of the game, then added 8 and 10-yard scoring runs. Wilkerson also scored three times on 5, 20 and 18-yard runs. The Raiders finished with 414 yards rushing.

The Raiders, needing to win to keep Piper from clinching the district title, trailed 14-9 in the second quarter and 24-21 midway in the third period before driving 80 yards for the go-ahead score.

With its second straight unbeaten season and second straight district title on the line, the Raiders dominated the Titans. Both lines were in control. Wilkerson scored twice in the first quarter on 9- and 11- yard runs, closing out his regular season with 1,094 yards rushing.

With two minutes remaining and the Raiders on top 17-10, Hills scored, but failed on a two-point conversion attempt to keep the Raiders hopes for a state title alive. Wilkerson followed with a 33-yard scoring run to ice the win.

ST. THOMAS 21, DEERFIELD BEACH 19
The elusive Wilkerson and Porter combined to rush for 320 yards as the Raiders captured their second straight sectional title and ran their season record to 12-0. Wilkerson had 211 yards, scoring 9 and 2-yard runs, while Porter added 108 yards. He scored once. The Raiders carried a 21-6 lead into the final quarter before surrendering two touchdowns to the Bucks.

ST. THOMAS 28, FORT MYERS 0
In the battle of the unbeatens, both were 12-0, the Raiders played like champions as Fort Myers, ranked No. 5 in the nation, was shut down. The St. Thomas defense held a strong Green Wave running game to 7 yards and yielded just 69 yards in the air. Stutz threw for two touchdowns, 48 yards to sophomore Bobby Brown and 33 yards to Irvin, while Terry Smith threw a 49-yard scoring pass to Porter off a fake kick. Interceptions by Willie Wright and Antonio Page and a fumble recovery by Matt Gulla stalled Fort Myers threats.

ST. THOMAS 24, TALLAHASSEE LEON 9
The Raiders complete a perfect 14-0 season and finish their No. 1 spot atop the state poll from the beginning of the season to its end.
The Raiders' defense put pressure on the Leon quarterback, especially in the first half when it sacked the quarterback six times for 48 yards in losses.
